Division 13 Vessel Safety Checks:
Vessel safety checks are a free service of the Coast Guard Auxiliary to
determine whether your boat meets Federal and State requirements for
equipment and safety. If it meets requirements a decal is awarded and
placed on the vessel. If it does not meet requirements you are advised of
the deficiencies but NO REPORT is made to any enforcement authority.
Occasionally examination stations are set up at convenient locations to do
multiple examinations (see list below). However if these are not convenient
you are encouraged to contact a flotilla near you to arrange for an examiner
to meet you at your boat for a private safety check.
